We're carpet people. Pile height, twist count, underlay thickness, which fibre will stand up to a dog and two teenagers — that's what our visits are about, and it's why we bring the samples to your house instead of asking you to drive to ours.
A sample that looks warm under shop spotlights can look flat and grey in a north-facing front room. Choosing at home takes the guesswork out, whether you're in a terrace near the city centre, a semi in Sandal or a newer house out towards Wrenthorpe.

Every room asks something different of a carpet. These are the choices we talk through most often on Wakefield visits.

We lay the carpets out room by room, talk you through pile and underlay, measure up and leave you a written quote.
Our fitters do the rest
On fitting day our own team lays the gripper, underlay and carpet, trims the doors where needed and finishes with door plates.

What Wakefield customers ask us
Where is your Wakefield showroom?
On your doorstep. We don't keep a shop on a high street or retail park — the showroom is a van stocked with carpet samples, and it comes to your house. Not paying for premises is a big part of how we keep our prices down.
Is there a charge for measuring up?
No. The visit, the measuring and your written quote cost nothing, and you're under no obligation to go ahead. Plenty of people keep the quote for a week or two while they decide.
What sort of carpet should go on the stairs?
Stairs need the toughest carpet in the house. A dense loop or a short, tight twist holds up best on the treads and nosings, and a firm underlay stops the edges wearing thin. We'll lay samples on your actual stairs so you can see how each one turns the corner.
Can you carpet a rental property between tenants?
Yes. Landlords across Wakefield use us for hard-wearing, bleach-cleanable carpets that are easy to keep looking tidy. Our Budget loop pile deal is a popular choice for flats and smaller rentals up to 70m².
My floorboards are uneven — will that spoil a new carpet?
It can, so we'll check on the visit. Where the subfloor needs it, we can ply-board over boards or screed a concrete floor before fitting, and we'll include that work in your quote so there are no surprises.
How can I pay?
We take all major credit and debit cards, or cash. We don't offer finance — we'd rather keep our prices as low as we can.
Do you cover Ossett, Horbury and Normanton?
Yes. Alongside the city itself we visit homes right across the WF1 to WF6 districts, including Ossett, Horbury, Normanton, Stanley and Crigglestone. If you're not sure whether we reach you, give us a call.
